Planadas is a young place. The town itself was established in 1966. Now, just over half a century later, Planadas is a bustling commercial center with a healthy market for farmers from neighboring farm towns to sell and distribute their crops. One of the most prolific crops in the area is coffee, grown easily thanks to young trees, warms days, and the ideal elevation of the Central mountain range’s foothills. Our partners at Collaborative Coffee Source took a trip to the district of Tolima, Colombia. While there, they sought out quality lots from farmers in the Planadas area and put together a blend that was made with Methodical in mind - an approachable coffee that will stay with us for a long while.
